Envision Jefferson County bursting with unexpected color as Tomorrow’s Hope, area Art Alliances and community organizations along with volunteer artisans yarn bomb their communities. Beginning in mid-July, trees lining Main Streets or other strategic locations will be decorated with lively knitted and crocheted wraps. Knitters or sponsors need to adopt their tree in advance.
Cost per tree is $100.
We plan to yarn bomb our communities on July 13, 2016, and the project will coincide with Hope Fest, July 15-16, 2016. Organizers hope to keep the tree installations up through October 10.
We are looking for donations of bright-colored yarn for the project – the brighter and more colorful, the better!
Sound like fun?

Hope Fest is a celebration of life, family and friends. It’s a time for us to find healing and strength as we share our journey with each other. We invite you to join us as an individual or as a team of family members, co-workers or friends. Together we raise money to support local healthcare recipients to help those who have been touched by Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other life-limiting illnesses.
Hope Fest is a special time and place for us, as a community, to gather, talk, walk and reflect. Our track is lined with Candles of Hope luminaries that celebrate and honor the lives of our loved ones. Handwritten messages adorn each lantern-bag. Heartfelt words and pictures from mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, grandchildren and friends remind us of why are here. These messages make us aware of how lucky we are to have, and have had, these incredible people touch our lives.
Raise More….Win More!
The Walk is the core event of the entire Hope Fest weekend. This event is all about YOU! The event raises money for Tomorrow’s Hope and brings people together to celebrate others.
The 2016 event takes place during Hope Fest starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15 and continues until noon on Saturday, July 16 at Jefferson County Fair Park.
- Walk around a designated track outlined with Candles of Hope luminaries dedicated to our loved ones.
- Enjoy festive music.
- Stay for a brief period or camp overnight.
- Watch your children or grandchildren enjoy a spectacular Children’s Area.
- Slow down and reconnect with family and friends.
- Remember the loved ones we have lost at our Remember Ceremony.
- Participate and enjoy our other Hope Fest events!
The Walk creates a means for individuals to find hope and healing by raising money for Tomorrow’s Hope and working with their family and friends to honor or remember loved ones touched by life-limiting illnesses. The emotional energy at The Walk is palpable. No matter what the illness, we all understand the pain, the loss, and the hope and healing that is in the hearts of everyone there. We know what is in your heart because it is in our hearts as well.
While Teams are a big part of The Walk, not everyone has to be on a team. Community members are invited to attend to walk, talk, and enjoy the festive atmosphere on the grounds.
We are excited to announce the 2016 Hope Fest t-shirt!
ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR RIDE WITH A BUDDY IS CLOSED. Please register at the event if you still wish to participate.
Ride With a Buddy is a special event at Hope Fest. The Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) of Wisconsin will lead the ride. Individuals with a motorcycle or classic car “buddy up” with a survivor or their family member whose life has been touched by Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, or any other life-limiting illness or condition.
The goal of the ride is to give people of all ages, who are touched by illness, a great ride on the back of a motorcycle, in a sidecar, on a “trike” (3-wheeled motorcycle), or in a classic car.
Tomorrow’s Hope, the organizer of Hope Fest, urges survivors, individuals or family members whose life has been turned upside down by life-limiting illness to sign up for the ride of a lifetime! It’s easy. Ask someone you know with a motorcycle or classic car to be your “buddy” or call 920-674-8967 to be paired up with a driver and experience a fantastic FREE ride on a motorcycle or in an antique car during the Ride With a Buddy event.
The ride is open to all motorcycles, as well as classic and collectible cars. The 30 mile ride, which leisurely winds through the rolling hills of Jefferson County, takes about an hour. Upon returning to Jefferson, participants will parade through town to the Jefferson County Fair Park where they will be greeted by an estimated 2,000 people.
DATE: July 15, 2015
RIDE ASSEMBLY: 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm
RIDE DEPARTURE: 6:00 pm
COST: The Ride is FREE, but a $20 charitable donation per vehicle is suggested. Additional donations are greatly appreciated!
Survivors, their family members, caretakers and other Tomorrow’s Hope approved riders also ride FREE!
All the events at Hope Fest are held to inspire people, have fun and raise money for Tomorrow’s Hope. Your donation helps local people affected by life-limiting illnesses.
